                       DIPLOMA ENTRANCE TEST, 2007
             FOR ADMISSION INTO DIPLOMA COURSES IN ENGINEERING/
                                  TECHNOLOGY/BEAUTY CULTURE
        The Diploma Entrance Test for the Academic Session, 2007-08 shall be held on 13.05.2007(2nd Sunday) at selected Centres for admission into 1st year of Diploma Courses in Engineering/Technology/ Beauty Culture and Lateral Admission of State Candidates to the 2nd year Diploma Courses in Engineering/Technology.This year, there will not be any separate Entrance Examination like OPESA CET-2007.
ELIGIBILITY:
a) Engineering/Technology/Beauty Culture(1st year Course):
        Pass or appearing in 10th Examination of Board of Secondary Education, Orissa or equivalent. The lower age shall be 14 years and upper age shall be 25 years as on 01.07.2007 for admission into all Engineering/Technology Courses except Mining Engineering/Drilling Engineering. The minimum and maximum age for Mining/Drilling Engineering is 16 years and 25 years respectively as on 01.07.2007. Relaxation of 3 years in upper age limit shall be allowed for SC/ST candidates as per Industries Department Resolution No.I-TTI-5/05-10355/I. dtd.27.5.2005.
b) Lateral Entry(2nd year Course):
        Pass or appearing in the following 2 year Trade of ITI(having also pass in Class 10th Examination) or pass/appearing in the following Trades of +2 Vocational Courses. Such candidates must secure not less than 60% marks in aggregate in the qualifying Examination.
Two Years ITI Trades: Surveyor, Draughtsman(Civil),Electrician, Wireman (HSC pass),Fitter, Turner, Machinist (Grinder),Refrigeration & Air-conditioning, Draughtsman(Mech.),Tool & Die maker(Press Tools, Jigs & Fixtures) & Painter(HSC pass),Electronics Mech., Mechanic (R&TV), Mech-cum-Operator (Electronics Communication System),Instrument Mech., Motor Vehicle Mech., Computer Hardware, IT&ESM,COPA(+2 as entry qualification).
+2 Vocational Trades: Maintenance & repair of Electrical, Farm Mechanic, Repair & Maintenance of Radio & TV receivers & Computer Application.
Note: Candidates are to produce their complete results along with original mark sheet of the qualifying examination at the time of counseling for admission.
Reservation: Norms specified by Government of Orissa will be applicable.
Outside State Candidates: Outside State Candidates are also eligible to appear in the Diploma Entrance Test,2007 for admission into 1st semester of 3 years Diploma Engineering Courses. However, a separate merit list will be made for outside State candidates and they will be considered for admission only after the merit list of State candidates of all categories is completely exhausted. Outside State candidates are not eligible for Lateral Admission into 2nd year course.
How to get Application Form: Application Form alongwith Information Brochure can be obtained on cash payment of Rs.300/-(Rupees Three Hundred) only at the Sale Counter in any of the Government or Private Engineering Schools/Polytechnics, Cuttack/ Berhampur/ Jharsuguda/ Rourkela/ Keonjhar/ Dhenkanal/ Sarang(Dist-Dhenkanal)/ Choudwar/ Rayagada/ Bhubaneswar/ Collectorate, Malkanagiri/ Chhendipada(Dist-Angul)/ Bargarh/ Brajarajnagar(Dist-Jharsuguda)/ Kalunga(Rourkela)/ Kirei(Sundargarh)/ Ankuspur(Berhampur)/ Jeypore/ Baripada/Barapada/ Balasore/ Tangi(Cuttack)/ Bolangir/ Athagarh(Cuttack)/ Semiliguda(Koraput) and Government ITI, Cuttack/ Puri/ Hirakud/ Boudh/ Bhawanipatna/ Phulbani.
        Application Forms can also be obtained by registered post from Principal, Bhubanananda Orissa School of Engineering, Cuttack-753007 on payment of crossed Demand Draft of Rs.350/-(cost of Application Form & Information Brochure – Rs.300/- + postal charges Rs.50/-) drawn in favour of the Principal, Bhubanananda Orissa School of Engineering, Cuttack payable at Cuttack.
 
How to send the Application Form:
        The complete filled in Application Form should be sent to the Principal, Uma Charan Pattnaik Engineering School, Berhampur, Ganjam by Speed Post/Registered Post/Registered Courier. The candidates may also submit their filled in Application Forms in any Sale Counters as mentioned above
