  • The Bahrain Odia Samaj celebrated Odisha’s Foundation Day – Utkal Divas and Odia New Year – Pana Sankranti on the 12th of April 2019 at the Isa Bin Salman Cultural Hall, Alumni Club in Adliya. The event was a grand cultural fiesta with dances and music showcasing Odisha’s rich cultural heritage, history and glorifying its hidden natural beauty. The Bahrain Odia Samaj’s members put together a spectacular show along with the world-renowned Aradhana Foundation. The Eastern state’s Foundation Day was graced by eminent Indian diplomat – His Excellency Ambassador Lalit Mansingh G, the revered King of Puri and first servitor of Lord Jagannatha – Gajapati Maharaj Shri Dibyasingha Deb, Director of Labour and vocational safety for the Ministry of Labour and Social Development- Mr. Ahmed Al Haiki, Chairman of Dadabhai Group of Companies – Mr. Mohammed Dadabhai, Prominent entrepreneur – Batool Dadabhai, Ambassadors of India, Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal and Srilanka along with excom members of expat social communities, spiritual and cultural organization & heads of several other Indian communities in Bahrain.

    The founder, Mr. Arun Kumar Praharaj said, “We are proud that the event was so well-received and people now know so much about Odisha! This could not have been possible without the blessings of the Rulers and Govt of Bahrain and dedicated efforts of our Executive Committee members.”
